SACaptions is specifically designed to integrate with Final Cut Pro, making its full functionality dependent on it. While some features, such as generating captions, may work independently, exporting FCPXML files and utilizing those captions effectively requires Final Cut Pro.

It is a Final Cut Pro bug that has been fixed in version 11.1. Updating to this version will resolve the issue.

Final Cut Pro does not always display the exact FPS due to certain video codecs. When generating FCPXML using SACaptions, try selecting a slightly lower FPS than before. For example, if you previously chose 30 FPS, opt for 29.97 FPS this time. This adjustment should resolve the issue.

This issue occurs because, when assigning roles to audio files in Final Cut Pro, you may have inadvertently given the same role to both dialogue and music. As a result, when you unchecked “music,” it also disabled the dialogue, leading to an exported audio file without any dialogue.

The fix is to assign proper roles to dialogues, music, and SFX separately. This will ensure that each element is handled independently and prevent similar issues in the future.
